Yarn Bunnies

I have too much yarn. I don't know how this happened. I just learned how to crochet in June. Some how, in 5 months, I have more yarn than I know what to do with. I have 8 skeins that are not even used and I have no projects that I am even remotely planning to use the yarn for. My yarn drawer is in my husband's nightstand. He has never used the bottom drawer in our 8 years of living in the house, so I started putting yarn in it. Suddenly it multiplied like rabbits. The absolutely sad thing is, I found this great website Mary Maxim's that has awesome 1$ yarn sales. So what do I do? I buy more yarn that is pretty and shove it in the drawer. I guess I had better find some projects......

I'd suggest that you make something for me, but they you'd never SEND it to me anyway!

Hi,

A good sale is a thing of beauty. And don't think of yourself as over stocked, think of yourself as really well prepared....

I could use some potholders - can you crochet potholders (???) -

It got cold here all of a sudden. After weeks of 80 degree and then 70 degree "Fall" weather, it suddenly has gone into the 40s. Brrr... that nice warm scarf is sounding very lovely.

I Love You,
Aunt Kathie

Diana's post reminds me of your mother who started making a doll and a scarf for me when I was about 10 and finally gave them to me in my late 20s.... must be genetic.

Love You,
AK

I have that problem with hobbies too. I end becoming more of a collector than an actual crafter.

We need to get crochet club back on schedule so you can use your yarn and I can feel motivated to actually start something.

I just found your site from SnoopMurph's surfing some of her sister-in-law's favorite blogs. Boy, what a windfall for me as I love to knit and crochet although lately I've been spending most of my free time blogging! Gotta get my fat self organized here and back to some of my other favorite things too.

I have at least three large plastic storage containers with different yarns I've been collecting for several years now -like maybe 20 plus! My big thing the past two years has been working with the eyelash yarns and making boa scarves. I have a bag with about 20-25 scarves in it now I think - something like that anyway!

So I'm gonna have to add your site to my list of faves cause anyone who loves yarn and scrounges all over for it at bargain prices has to be a good person to read what they have to say!

I always enjoy meeting another Linda. I have read about you on Theresa's blog. I am really enjoying getting to know her.

I was into the crocheting thing many years ago. My problem, I started too many projects and finished few. Look forward to reading about your work.

Please stop by again.

You know, Aunt Kathie, that habit didn't end with your scarf. I remember that Mom used to start knitting things quite a lot - she'd supposedly be making a sweater or something, but they always turned into blankets or just random little rectangular unfinished knitted things.

It sounds like a harmless addiction to me! Go for it!
